Gia...

Gia (1998) (TV)

Gia Carangi: Life and death, energy and peace. If I stop today it was still worth it. Even the terrible mistakes that I made and would have unmade if I could. The pains that have burned me and scarred my soul, it was worth it, for having been allowed to walk where I've walked, which was to hell on earth, heaven on earth, back again, into, under, far in between, through it, in it, and above.

Gia Carangi: I'm in charge, and I'm leavin'!

Gia Carangi: You scare the shit out of people so they can't see how scared you are.

Gia Carangi: I do be da prettiest prettiest girl, I do be dat.

Gia Carangi:Well somebody has to take care of me! I'm just a kid!

Gia Carangi: Dear book, this is another day in my life. A life is like a book. A book is like a box. A box has six sides. Inside and outside, so, how do you get to what's inside? How do you get what's inside, out? Once upon a time, there lived a very pretty girl, who lived in a beautiful box, and everybody loved her.

Gia Carangi: Where are you going?
Linda: You don't have any clothes on.
Gia Carangi: Don't change the subject.

Gia Carangi: I could learn photography. That could be something to want. I could photograph children. I could have my own children. I would give them yellow roses. And if they got too loud, I would just put them some place quiet. Put them in the oven. And I would kiss them every day, and tell them you don't have to be anybody, because I would know that being somebody doesn't make you anybody anyway.
Wilhemina Cooper: You will always be somebody to me.

Francesco: I know, I know. Life is so disappointing. Here you are. You have arrived. You are here. This is your moment. What do you have? You have pain. You have everything. What do you have? You have nothing. Everything is right, or everything is wrong. It's disappointing, it's confusing. This is life. What can we do?
Gia Carangi: People keep going away from me, that hurts.
Francesco: Work. You have a gift, use it. Life, life will be there later. When you have worked, and you have lived, and you know who you are, life is easy. Work. It's the only answer I know.
Gia Carangi: I should have been a rock star. But I can't sing.
Francesco: Work now. You'll live later, hm?
Gia Carangi: Hmm, hmm. You'd say anything to get that shot.
Francesco: Hmm, yeah. In this case I am saying the truth.

Gia Carangi: You know what I think? I think there's a reason for everything. And I think that there's a plan for everyone. And I think that God has a big plan for me. Just not in this life.

Linda: I have a boyfriend.
Gia Carangi: So?
Linda: So?
Gia Carangi: Yeah, so?
Linda: So, I have to go.
Gia Carangi: "I have to go," "I have to go," where the fuck does everybody go when they have to go?

Billy: Hi, I'm Billy. You're very pretty. I'll bet you're a model.
Gia Carangi: Why? Do I look stupid?
